About Us

Fort Bend County is the fastest growing area in the nation; there are more than 26 planned communities within fifteen miles of BELTWAY CROSSING that are projected to increase the area population by 257,000 to 1,138,327 by 2007.

Missouri City has an even distribution of population by age groups. When compared to the national average, Missouri City has an average share of population between the ages of 25 and 44 and above average share population between the ages 45 and 65.

Due in part to the region's economic expansion, the low cost of housing and home ownership, retail sales in Missouri City have experienced phenomenal growth rates. Demographics show that retail sales have grown more then 240% over the past 10 years and reached $367 million in 2002.

Additional demographic information is available from the Fort Bend Development Council, Professional Demographic Report.
